Readiness for new life
Qualities a person should have in route to being internship ready are being consistent, being passionate to learn more about the work, being an overachiever, and having a determination towards accomplishing tasks. What I mean by being consistent is that everything you do is on time and meets the expectations. When you're passionate about the work you're doing, it makes your day go by smoothly and the work is predominately better. Being an achiever is what keeps you going, because knowing that all the work you put in has a cause and is going to pay off. Having determination is important to me, because you have to go through the frustration of tasks and learning processes in order to grow towards internship readiness.

experience
The best and worse job I have ever had was doing customer service for a while and doing hospitality. When I was doing customer service I was working for clothing companies, such as Marshals, and Old navy. There I learned the ropes on how their companies work and how to be a part of a team. Working with clothes has its benefits, you are being a worker allowed to have discounts that would be about 30% depending on where you work. Me personally I love to shop and to be allowed to get a discount on my clothes made me be a shopaholic to a degree. Working at clothing stores don’t get me wrong has its down sides too, you run into some of the rudest people. When you are on the job you can’t have a reaction to speak your mine because you can lose your job, by going bad on a customer. Working on the floor was osmosis to a degree it came from your own personality. A job that I was never really found of being a hospitality ambassador. The job required you to walk around all day asking people do they need help for hours. Made me not want to come to work specially when it was raining would call in sick , or just don’t show up point blank period. I can say that being a hospitality ambassador gave me great values and like year up a whole lot of connections.

JOE
The event that I been hearing so much about every time I seem to turn on the TV has been the Joe Paterno scandal. The article that I looked up talks about how it seemed he didn’t do enough to stop what was going on with his staff. Even though Joe didn’t interact with the sex scandal he and his staff became fired. From my perspective he should have did more because he is like the head poncho around Pen State. Now from this dilemma his legacy for what he has done for his school will be overshadowed, by the scandal with him and his staff. Any real man would have stepped up and said something about grown men playing with little boys. I respected Joe for all of his accomplishments at Pen State for making his school a football power house. The community around Pen State I think will not be the same and really do not have a hero or icon to look up to any more. This is not the first time this year a Power house football team has had a scandal that blew up this year. Power houses such as the USC scandal players taking money while going to school. These days more and more things like this are coming up and it shows that the world around us is corrupted. Who can you trust? Is the question that seems to come up now days when people who you look up to are really terrible people. Whatever the case maybe the reality of it is the world is a place of shame and deceit

Grandpa
Throughout my life what seems to be a constant that inspires me each day and keep me going is my Grandpa. He to me is the best thing that could have happened to me in my time I had to spend with him while he was living. Showed and taught me everything I know while I was growing up not really having a father figure in my life. He was the father to me and many of my sisters and cousins he was the foundation of our family. He did the little things that mattered coming up as a child, such as taking me and my sisters to school every day and being old as he was you couldn’t tell. Introduced to me sports tell this day I watch sports center because of him to just remind myself he still exists and is never forgotten. My grandpa was the only person who really believed in me when no one else seemed to. I thank him tell this day and always keep him in my prayer when I rest my eyes from a hard days of work. He taught me that don’t be like everybody else not doing nothing with themselves being a young black man try to become something in life. So like he said I will become the next best thing and show everybody that dough’s the fact I will be just like everybody else. That to me is my motivation and it continue to inspire me to take that next step in becoming successful in this world which seems not to being better but worse.Grandpa I again say thanks for being you and making me a better me.

part 1 of essay
The community that I am associated with is my church community. My church is a all-around big families were as a group we support one another at hard times. Things that keep me going to church is the soulful choir song to wake me up in a typical early morning day. The thought of listening to my preacher preach giving me words of wisdom on a righteous way of living make life so much easier. The people at church all talk to one another from the Ushers to the board they give the youth another I to seeing life on the right and wrong way life can come by you. I mean church at first was a bit boring when I first started going to church. I used to hate getting up early in the morning going to church and right after church had to go to Sunday school missing the football games. Also I really wasn’t a big fan of going to wens day bible study which really made it hard for me to get in the grove of the whole church hype. As I grow as a young adult I now know that the sooner is beater to have a relationship with god.

module 1
What I learned as a student in 1 module is being more consistent and letting myself be heard more. What I mean by being heard more is letting my teacher know I am here at year up with a dedication to learn and better myself. I have more or less been doing well in the program but it’s always good to turn it up a notch. The positives have been for me in module 1 is I finish my homework on time, I came to class on time and tried to really hard retain information that has been given to me. My negatives are a big one it seem like is look more engaged in class what my peers have been telling me. When entering a internship it is very important to me engaged shows your boss you’re ready for that next step and here to learn. To me learning is a key asset to life without knowledge you live in the world of unknowing

Oakland
I am who I am because of the neighborhood I live in which is Oakland. Oakland to me is not a good society to live in now days, many gang violence such as were ever you go you could possibly end up dying at any moment. You have to be aware of your surroundings at all times to prevent yourself from being on somebody next t-shirt. In my time in living in Oakland I try to be better than my peers. Not following the hype of trying to impress a person because that can end up getting you into a lot of trouble. I am thankful to have a set of parents who cared for my well-being and made sure I was on a path of righteousness. Most kids now days don’t really have father figures or a mother at home to care for them. Living in Oakland also had its positives like coming from there you would learn how to be a survivor. In the society we live in today we need to be able to learn how to survive in the adult world. Also living in Oakland you learn how to talk and to be heard in the world. Without those quality’s I can honestly say I would be a different person not knowing how the world would treat you as a person. Even now living in Oakland it’s pretty much the same as it was back in the day. As I get more and more leaning towards my career I promise to give back to my community so that I can provide a good spot for the children to look up to when all seems to be lost. I have sister and try to show them that there is a way to make it in the hood.
